For those students interested in learning more about ancient cultures, such as the Mayan, we have prepared a special program that will take place in two different regions.
Take this opportunity to learn about places full of tradition, folklore and historical millenary sites!!!
This program will offer you the possibility to study and travel around ancient Mayan territory. The program will start in Tuxtla Gutierrez and continue in the city of Merida, on the Yucatan Peninsula, and Playa del Carmen, in the state of Quintana Roo. The program includes a long weekend trip to the world famous city of Cancun.
Academic Offer
Students will be taking 3 or 6 credits on this program.
Credits Courses
3 Spanish (basic, intermediate and advanced levels)
3 Mexican Culture (course taught in English)
Extra-curricular Activities
During this program you will enjoy different field trips and excursions that
will complement your experience in Mexico.
In the city of Merida and Playa del Carmen you will visit places that include some of the most famous Mayan ruins such as: Chichen-Itza, Celestun, Uxmal, Tulum, Xel-ha, Xcaret and more. These field trips and excursions will be optional for the students and are not included on the program fee. They
will be charged individually.
As part of the program you will spend a long weekend in the beautiful
beaches of Cancun.
